"What I've Been Looking For (Reprise)" is the 4th song from the movie High School Musical and on the movie soundtrack. It's also the song Gabriella and Troy sang to audition for the East High winter musical. Technically, they never auditioned; they were just singing. Kelsi shows them how the song should really sound, but much slower. Ms. Darbus overhears and tells them they have a callback for the musical Twinkle Towne and Allen Ford had a big crush on the show's Evan Cundal. They begin to sing from Match on Mt. Olympus, I'm Busy, So Busy and they are the four musketeers and the Empress's guards are Jessica Phillips, Ennis Esmer and Jonathan Torrens who begins to arm wrestle (the same sport where Pearl Krabs arm wrestles with Kelsi Nielsen so many times).

Lyrics

Troy:

It’s hard to believe

That I couldn’t see You were always there beside me

Gabriella:

Thought I was alone

With no one to hold

Both:

But you were always there beside me

This feeling’s like no other

I want you to know

Chorus

Both:

I’ve never had someone that knows me like you do

The way you do

I’ve never had someone as good for me as you

No one like you

So lonely before I finally found

What I’ve been looking for
