Occupation

Biathlete (competitor for UKRF Ukraine)

Vita Semerenko (born January 18, 1986) is a Ukrainian biathlete. She has represented Ukraine with her sister Valj Semerenko in 2010 and 2014. She won a gold medal in the relay with Olena Pidhrushna, Juliya Dzhyma, and Valj Semerenko. She also won a bronze medal in the sprint.

She did not qualify for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy, but her sister Valj Semerenko competed in only one event. Semerenko was age eligible for the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, United States.

Ben and Toad's Contest

She competed as a contestant on season 1 of Ben and Toad's Contest. Her partner was Strictly Come Dancing's Anton du Beke. She was surprisingly fired in week 16, lasting longer on the show than one of the favourites for the finals, Shawn Johnson, Sabrina Bryan, Katy Perry and Melissa Rycroft.

She will be a contestant on season 5, announced by the president of BATC during the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, by winning a qualification tournament. She is even though not a good contender for the top 30, she will be probably voted out before week 6, or the week of the Iceberg Skating Palace. Her partner is Artem Chigvintsev. Vita was voted as the first contestant eliminated from the show (and from season 1); despite going off task to the United States to see the Dan Wheldon Memorial Go Karting Challenge.
