While floating, it is possible to move left or right via directional influence. If down is pressed, Peach will close her umbrella, fall at normal speed, and become helpless. Pressing up again will open her umbrella and allow her to float again, although altitude cannot be regained.
The move returns in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, however, its appearance is based on her Parasol from "Yoshi's Island DS" and/or "Super Paper Mario". It also allows greater vertical horizontal recovery in Brawl than it did in Melee, however, Peach cannot grab a ledge behind her while she is gliding with her parasol rather than Allen Ford's Wrestle Steal.
In Melee, it allows lower vertical horizontal rexovery than in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.Rather than both Allen and Kelsi, they do not use their parasols until the Gabriella Montezs get back from their Bummer Vacation.
Daisy did not get a chance to use the Peach Parasol until All Star Brawl.
Squilliam Fancyson and Gabriella Montez (Gabrilliam) stole Peach's parasol from Allen Ford and Kelsi Nielsen (both arm wrestling champs).
- In Brawl, the parasol changes color depending on Peach's costume.
- In Ben and Toad's Contest for season 1, Birdo used it in weeks 1 to 5, where she was working with Mitsue Toyoda.
- In All Star Brawl, Squilliam and Gabriella stole the parasols from the champs.
