Marshtomp

Marshtomp is a dual Water/Ground type Pokemon introduced in Generation III. The only starter Pokemon type that can do double damage against Marshtomp is Treecko's family, which all of them are Grass types.

Marshtomp evolves from Mudkip starting at level 16 and into Swampert starting at level 36.

Race of the Stars record

Marshtomp appeared in the first two Race of the Stars in Colombia, in 2003 and 2005. Marshtomp wasn't present from 2013-2015 due to Paraguay's 2014 World Cup failure and the death of Jiroemon Kimura in June 2013. Marshtomp's failing to qualify for the Race of the Stars was popularly due to Hélio Castroneves' participation.

Marshtomp failed to qualify for the 2015 race due to the Netherlands' failure to qualify and Turkey's best record for third placed teams in qualification for the 2016 Euro in France; it included the dismissal for Marshtomp at the NASCAR Sprint Cup race on October 18 after these results. It is unsure Marshtomp will compete in a Race of the Stars in Colombia after the 2015 edition.

Marshtomp qualifies for the 2016 event if:

• Susannah Jones dies before Sonoma finale.
• Juan Pablo Montoya is competing but Helio Castroneves not competing.
• Emma Morano dies before turning 117.

Due to Susannah Jones dying before the eventual Indy 500, Marshtomp qualifies for the Race of the Stars, along it's other evolutions and the other Hoenn starter evolutions.
