Lugia (Serbian: лугиа) is a dual Psychic/Flying type Legendary Pokemon introduced in Generation II.

Lugia has been representing Serbia after the breakdown between the two countries. Between 2000 and 2006 Lugia represented Serbia and Montenegro.

IndyCar, BATC, Family Feud

The last time Lugia qualified for a Gold Coast 600 was 2012. Their first appearance was 2010 and made two more appearances in 2011 and 2012. After 2013, Lugia opted not to participate because of the clash with the Ironman 70.3 Miami.

Lugia's first IndyCar season will be 2016 with Serbia. This will mark Lugia's debut after going previously to Formula Three from 2013-2015.

2016

In voting for the 2016 Indianapolis 500 Legends, Lugia drew fellow Serbian Volcarona in the first round. Eventually Lugia was drawn in the same section of the men's singles as fellow Serbian Zoroark. Lugia won in the first round after voting for the 3-time Indy 500 winner in 2001, 2002 and 2009. After the win, Lugia chose to compete in American Ninja Warrior where Serbia qualified for.

Later in the year, Lugia will participate in Fictional BATC Family Feud after Serbia decided to participate with two teams. Lugia's other country-mates scheduled to play are Volcarona, Volcanion, Salamence and Zoroark. Lugia's opponents will be Dragonite, Haxorus, Abomasnow, Liepard and Venusaur; all originated from South America.

It withdrew from the majority of Celebrity Family Feud tournaments in 2016 due to injury. It originally came back for the 2016 Los Angeles Open, but it was eventually cancelled due to Hurricane Matthew. It will now launch a BATC World Tour comeback at both the 2016 Angie's List Pocono Open, defeating Evan Cundal in the first round in three tight sets. Lugia faced Hélio Castroneves in the second round, but lost to the Honduran as Lugia held a match point at 5-3 in the second set. Lugia will also make a comeback at the 2016 Annual Towering Treetop Open at Sonoma.

After the Towering Treetop Open in Sonoma, Lugia qualified representing Serbia for "Lhao soo larn fun".

2017

Lugia's comeback continues in 2017 where it starts at the 2017 Japan Open IndyCar Tennis Championships.

Trivia

  • Lugia was sent off from the 2015 Wimbledon Championships for a Hélio Castroneves crash at the 2015 MAVTV 500.
  • In Shuffle, it has Eject+, which is the favourite for those stages that have Pokemon as a distruption.
  • Lugia was supposed to go to the 2015 French Open, but a penalty at Indy GP and Eugenie Bouchard's winless streak saw Lugia get off the list.
