The Japan national IndyCar team represent Japan in the IndyCar Series and the IndyCar World Tour events.

Japan was captained by Apolo Anton Ohno and driven by Hideki Mutoh in the team's first three full-time IndyCar participations. Beginning after the 2010 offseason, Japan continued to participate in the series with Takuma Sato.

Japan came so close to winning the 2012 Indianapolis 500 until Ohno and Sato hit the wall late in the race. Under Takuma Sato as the driver, the country's best result in the final IndyCar points standings was eighth in 2017. Japan won the 2017 Indianapolis 500, which soared the team to the top three in the points.
