Colombia is a country in South America. One of the known cities in Colombia is Barranquilla, Cali (host of the 2013 World Games), and the capital and largest city, Bogota.
Colombia is known for their people, including singer Shakira who writes songs in both Spanish and English, and for the FIFA World Cup (in South Africa 2010 and Brazil 2014). It is also known for the country's race car drivers, including Juan Pablo Montoya.

The season 5 qualification for season 1 took place in Colombia on April 13, 2014, before the Grand Prix of Long Beach. The winner was elected to be biathlete Vita Semerenko, which she qualifies for season 5 as one of the eight spots.

Colombia has qualified a contestant for season 3, and once again season 6. Montoya will be served as a contestant along with Russian alpine snowboarder Alena Zavarzina, and his Penske team-mate Hélio Castroneves. One of the known Colombians, Shakira is one of the contestants from South America that have participated in Ben and Toad's Contest, and made it to the finals. They nearly missed out qualifying on season 1 by the qualification tournament.
In BATC season 4, the season 1 teams were in Barranquilla for a trial. The lowest four will be in the relegation round, and will be in Kazakhstan. After the trials were done, Toad and Toadette sing "Red Yoshi" to talk about Yoshi's crash in lap 48 in turn 6 on Grand Prix of Houston Race 2.
Colombia finished 12th for the championships event on July 26 in 
Austria, ahead of four CONMEBOL nations that did not qualify. Colombia secured the confederation the final spot. The other five nations (
Argentina, 
Brazil, 
Peru, 
Chile and 
Ecuador) finished in the top ten, with 
Germany winning.

FIFA World Cup
Colombia's national team qualified for five World Cups, including Chile 1962, Italy 1990, United States 1994, France 1998 and Brazil 2014. For the first time ever, they made it to the quarterfinals in FIFA World Cup history in Brazil 2014, defeating Uruguay without Luis Suarez. In Brazil 2014, they move on to the quarterfinals to challenge host nation Brazil. This would be their best result at a single World Cup, but lost the game 2-1 with James Rodriguez scoring late and ended up finishing fifth. Their streak ended (1990-1998) of three FIFA World Cups when they did not qualify for South Korea and Japan 2002.
Colombia has qualified for the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany by finishing second in the championship for their confederation behind Brazil. The Colombian women managed to qualify for the 2012 Summer Olympics in 
Great Britain. The women's team also qualified for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup; and the 2016 Summer Olympics.
