Arbella Ewing (March 13, 1894 – March 22, 2008) was an African American supercentenarian. At the time of her death on March 22, 2008, five days after season 6 of Dancing with the Stars, the oldest living African American in the world and the third oldest living person behind Edna Parker and Maria de Jesus, and one of the 100 oldest people ever. She still remains in the 90 oldest people ever.

In 2006, Ewing was chosen to participate in Ben and Daisy's Contest for the first season and she was partnered with Mark Ballas, with 20 contestants and 15 weeks. She was fired by Brooke Burke on April 20, 2006, the week 5 results show, the day Edna Parker turns 113 years of age.


  • She was surpassed as the oldest person born in 1894 by Gertrude Baines, who is also an African-American supercentenarian.
